I am a wife, mom of 2, and a second grade teacher who likes to juggle a number of hobbies, as if life isn't hectic enough!
I have actually been blogging for years but recently realized I need a new outlet for my blogging addiction. After falling in love with so many teaching blogs, I knew I found my niche!
Here is a little about me as a teacher:
This will be my 13th year teaching. I taught preschool for a year in Upstate New York and then moved to Virginia where I have taught second grade since.
I received my masters in reading from the University of Virginia. Although I have my reading masters, I decided to continue being a classroom teacher and apply that knowledge to my students.
Teaching is truly a rewarding experience and I can honestly say that I still love my job.
Another interesting tidbit about myself is that my husband is also a teacher. Yes, that's right folks...we are RAKING in the dough!
He teaches 6th grade at the same school. We have worked together for 4 years now. It has been a lot of fun and since we teach different ends of the primary spectrum, we still have different stories to share at the end of the day.
Well, that is my life as a teacher in a nutshell. I hope you enjoy the ideas, lessons, and activities that I share from my own classroom as well as from my endless internet searches.
Thanks again for stopping by!
