About Me

I am a wife, mom of 2, and a fourth grade teacher who likes to juggle a number of hobbies, as if life isn't hectic enough!

I have actually been blogging for years but realized I need a new outlet for my blogging addiction.  After falling in love with so many teaching blogs, I knew I found my niche!

Here is a little about me as a teacher:

This will be my 18th year teaching.  I taught preschool for a year in Upstate New York and then moved to Virginia.  I have taught second and fourth grade for the past few years.

I received my masters in reading from the University of Virginia.  Although I have my reading masters, I decided to continue being a classroom teacher and apply that knowledge to my students. I recently became National Board Certified, which has been a career long goal.

Teaching is truly a rewarding experience and I can honestly say that I still love my job.
Another interesting tidbit about myself is that my husband is also a teacher.  Yes, that's right folks...we are RAKING in the dough!

Well, that is my life as a teacher in a nutshell.  I hope you enjoy the ideas, lessons, and activities that I share from my own classroom as well as from my endless internet searches.

Thanks again for stopping by!
